Abstract

The Self-compacting concrete is best suitable for concreting the structural elements with dense reinforcement where we can reduce ill effects of vibration of concrete at the worksite. This present study reports properties of Self Compacting Concrete (SCC) cast partially replacing Natural Coarse Aggregates (NCA) with Recycled Concrete Aggregates (RCA) and cement with GGBS.  Further to ensure the performance of concrete, durability studies are also reported. The optimum dosage of replacement of cement with GGBS is found to be 30% for M30 grade and 20% for M40 grade. To assess the durability of the above said concrete, acid resistivity and rapid chloride permeability test are conducted. The test results indicated the application of concrete with certain limitations.
