Abstract

The main part of the research and global economy is construction. The current research works have identified shortages of laborers in the sector. This has caused various difficulties in the growth of the economy. In this competitive environment, the main issue is absenteeism. It is difficult for the organizations to enhance productivity and make the employees happy, especially in case of being absent. This is caused mainly due to lack of support and insufficient salary provided to the laborers. The workers for the construction are not available at the site which is the prime reason for dropping in the productivity rate. This study is focused mainly on identifying the damages caused to the projects due to absence in the workplace and strategic measures are provided to reduce the rate of absence and recovery of the loss that occurred. It is very important that the workers must show up their skills through the level of work. This will lower the level of productivity, lesser delivery of various services, and lack of performance. This can impact significantly towards the sustainability of the company. The lack of workers led to the closing of several companies. These gaps should be taken care of to be successful in construction projects. In this research study a qualitative method is utilized that will provide a better understanding of the current scenario of the construction market and its workers involved.
