Abstract

The educational process has developed extensively in our modern age based on the use of various models in the development of thinking skills, as it is the most important means of consolidating and confirming information for learners and guiding them to the scientific method of storing and processing information. Tennis is not necessarily due to a lack of effort and a lack of tendency to learn it, but it may be due to the method used in learning. Hence, the importance of the current research and the need for it emerged in the researcher's desire to experiment and the impact of the Yaker model in teaching some basic tennis skills to students. As for the problem, despite the multiplicity of teaching models, and through reading and follow-up, the researcher found that most of the modern models and their applications are not used in the field of sports and that the results of students’ skill performance in tennis do not correspond to the requirements of mental abilities and cognitive growth of the student. The researcher also used the experimental method by designing equal groups. As for the research sample, it is “part of the original research community. The research community was identified with students in the third stage of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences Dhi-Qar University, whose number is (59) students divided into Division (E) and Division (D), and their number is (16) students in each division. The researcher excluded a number of the sample members, including the exploratory experiment sample, which numbered (10) students, as well as the students who failed, numbering (8) students, as well as the postponed students and their number (6), and the students and practitioners of the game numbering (3). Among the most important conclusions reached by the researcher is the superiority of the experimental group in that I implemented the curriculum according to the Yaker model in teaching some basic tennis skills to students.
